Brownie Sundae -- A Mellow Mushroom Dessert Review

I had the pleasure of having a Mellow Mushroom brownie sundae for dessert a few days ago. It was a delectable treat and I must detail my experience. Be warned: the sundae is quite the hefty sum, it came out to $13 pre-tip for two of the sundaes!

While there was initial mix-up with finding a table at the establishment, it was smooth sailing after getting seated. Our waiter was extremely approachable and accommodating, with service being just as fast. When he brought over the sundae, the presentation was definitely a plus. The brownie sundae was topped with a processed cherry, similar to that of the ones on a Chick-Fil-A milkshake. Right underneath the cherry was whipped cream and a scoop of creamy ice cream, with the base was a warm brownie. While I personally am not a fan of warm brownies, I know a lot of people enjoy the clash of temperatures between the frosty ice cream and the warm brownie. The brownie sundae's presentation was wrapped together with a decadent chocolate syrup that I really enjoyed.

While the contents of the sundae seems small, I assure you otherwise! It took me forever to eat my through the dessert. Overall, the sundae was delicious. However, the contents are very sophisticated and I definitely could replicate the sundae in my own kitchen at fraction of the cost. At the $7 price point, you're definitely paying the social atmosphere and the experience rather than the dessert itself. I enjoyed the sundae, but I will not be getting a Mellow Mushroom brownie sundae in the future.
